Ellen DeGeneres has calmed down the internet after addressing the world over the controversies that surround her show and the toxic workplace culture that saw many producers shown the door and actually said she was “SORRY” as she launched the 18th season of her program.
The star host was energetic and full of life and eloquent as she took the stage to say her piece for the first time since the entire controversy broke out!
Warner Bros launched an internal investigation into the show after allegations of racism, fear and intimidation surfaced in July, with three prominent level producers fired one month later.
The Ellen Show host admitted things did happen on the show which never should have occurred.
“I want to say I am so sorry to the people who were affected, I know that I am in a position of privilege and power and with that comes responsibility and I take responsibility for what happens at my show,” she said.
“We have made the necessary changes and today we are starting a new chapter.”
