Frank Ocean’s brother Ryan Breaux had died in a car accident, it has been reported.
He was 18 years old. The fatal incident took place in the early hours of Sunday morning on Westlake Boulevard in Thousand Oaks, California, killing both Ryan and a friend.
Ventura County Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle traffic collision at around 1:33 am. When they arrived, the car was engulfed in flames and the two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.
But it is reports reaching our newsdesk that Frank’s mum Katonya is inconsolable that have devastated us.
According to our source, upon hearing the news, Katonya broke down, almost fainted and has since been just broken from the news.
Our source also indicated that Frank Ocean is also devastated and the family is struggling to come to terms with what happened today.
In a press release, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said: ‘The initial investigation revealed the vehicle was travelling south on Westlake Boulevard approaching Skelton Canyon Circle.
‘The vehicle appeared to leave the roadway and collide with a tree in the center median.’ Thinkin Bout You singer Frank has yet to release a statement on the news. Tributes have poured in for Ryan, with one fan tweeting: ‘This is so damn sad wtff, please pray for him and his family.’
Oh god, he was still a baby…wishing peace for his soul and his family,’ another said. Sharing their condolences, one wrote: ‘Frank and his family must be completely heartbroken. i’m so sorry. pray for ryan and the family.’ Another added: ‘Please please please i urge yall to pay frank and his family ur respect and send good vibes, lets help him heal.’
After Frank released his 2016 album blonde, Ryan tweeted: ‘Im glad its out tho bc when im @ the studio he gets focused and forgets to feed me and bring me home.
these projects its crazy. Mans was in the studio 16 hours a day making everything perfect [sic].’ Ryan also features on the album’s track Futura Free. Reacting to his guest appearance, Ryan told his followers: ‘MY INTERVIEW IS ON THE ALBUM OHMGMDJSHCJAJDHAHHSH I WAS LIKE 11 MY VOICE WAS SO HIGH. ‘THIS IS WORSE THAN MY YEARBOOK PICTURE.’
