In an interview with GRAZIA, the reality star opened up about her experience helping West recover, while also being with their kids.
“Kanye had it way at the beginning, when nobody really knew what was going on,” she said. “It was so scary and unknown. I had my four babies [North, seven, Saint, four, Chicago, two, Psalm, 16 months] and no-one else in the house to help.”
Kardashian said the rapper contracted the virus around the same time that Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson announced they had it in mid-March. West previously revealed he had been ill with COVID-19 in February.
“I had to go and change his sheets and help him get out of bed when he wasn’t feeling good,” she continued. “It was a challenge because it was so unknown. Changing his sheets with gloves and a face shield was really a scary time.”
In July, West opened up about his COVID-19 diagnosis in a wide-ranging interview with Forbes.
“Chills, shaking in the bed, taking hot showers, looking at videos telling me what I’m supposed to do to get over it,” the rapper told the outlet of his experience.
West sent his best wishes and prayers to Donald Trump and his wife Melania on Saturday, after they both tested positive to the coronavirus.
“There’s a crying need for civility across the board. We need to and will come together in the name of Jesus,” West wrote in a tweet one day after the Trump’s announcement. “I’m praying for President Trump’s and Melania’s full recovery, just as I would for Joe and Jill Biden if they were stricken, as well as everyone else with COVID-19.”
